Blog Angel October

Yes, blog angels!

It can have its ups and downs, but you an also meet some amazing people along the way!

As previously announced, the blogger who I was an "angel" to was Angie from Womanhood with Purpose!

Although we had a bit of trouble connecting during the last few weeks of this challenge, I am super excited to be button swapping with her. Basically, we'll continue to work together and I'll get to know her even more...and promote her blog through the whole month of November too!

She is such a sweetie and has tons of wisdom and advice on marriage and life.




Next, at the halfway point I got to find out who my angel was! Becky from For This Season! She had done a great job because I hadn't figured out that she was my blog angel, but as soon as I got her email I was like, "Oh, she has been the one leaving all those sweet comments!"

Becky and I immediately connected. She offered up advice where I asked for it and was constantly available (even though she was like 38 weeks pregnant). She is like a super mom! I am blessed to learn from her blogging experience and her crocheting experience. She is also button swapping with me for November and I am looking forward to getting to chat with her a bit more after she gets done with her maternity "leave".

Yep, she had an ADORABLE little baby boy! <3



For me, this blog angels session was a big success! I will not be participating in the December one because I will simply by too busy. =( But I look forward to participating again next year!

Womanhood with Purpose

Guess what?

It's Blog Angel announcement time!

And yes, Angie from Womanhood with Purpose was who I got to shower with love! <3

To be totally honest...I forgot about it for about a week or so in the middle. So Angie's blog got some concentrated love and comments from me at the beginning of the month and then right before the link up went live.

And of coarse, I was late with my post. (Sorry Angie!)

I started out focusing just on comments, and then moved to giving a bit of imput. Honestly, reading Angie's blog has been cool. She has a lot of good insight in to marriage and planning.

Blog Angels: 1/2 Way Thoughts

I just realized how funny that sounds..."1/2 way thoughts".  Like my thoughts are only 1/2 developed. And maybe they are, because we are only 1/2 way through the
BLOG ANGEL'S MONTH!

I submitted a form, they assigned me a blog, and now it is my personal challenge to bring a little more sunshine into that blogger's life without them knowing that I am their blog angel!
(I have a blog angel as well...is it you? =P)


We are 1/2 way through the month, so it is time for me to reflect on this project 1/2 way through...


Sigh...


I was SO excited at first!!!!  Whoever I got was going to feel SO loved! I wanted to comment on every post, promote them on twitter, and just hang around to have fun!


But that blog has only posted once this month...I commented on two posts so far.
There is no twitter account or email linked up to the blog.
Sigh...


But you know what? I've been carrying that enthusiasm over into those that button swap with me! Or to random bloggers I follow! I'm trying to comment more, to encourage more, to promote when I see a blog worthy of promoting.


IT IS FUN!


And...I'm meeting wonderful people! I love it.


Don't get me wrong! I still forget alot...or am too tired, lazy, busy, etc to comment all the time when I should or be as enthusiastic as I could be...but I'm learning. So bear with me and start spreading some encouragement yourself.


I believe we underestimate the power of words all to often. By the grace of God, I will learn to use my words wisely and to build others up.


I am still trying to be a blog angel to my "assigned" blogger when I can...and then take that attitude with me into the rest of the blogging world!
